Interior Design

Duration : 3 years Diploma (Part time).

Medium of Instruction : English

Eligibility : Minimum S.S.C.

Working Hours : 9 hours per week in the morning/ afternoon.

Objective :

To develop the basic representation skills like plan,elevation,view required for designing.
To enhance skills for execution of design by learning different services.
To learn the estimation by developing the skills for practical execution of design in given budget.
To incorporate all the developed skills and design residential and commercial project

Interior Design is a professional course wherein we develop the essential skills required to work in the profession. Interior Design is about creating and visualizing space that suits the end user. We encourage and motivate our students to take up challenges in designing residential as well as commercial space.
We act as a facilitator in imparting knowledge to students in understanding their end user to the core, for which we offer a 3 year diploma program which is described as follows:
1st year: Students are introduced to the basic elements and characteristics required to pursue an Interior Design profession. First year will help developing observation and visualization skills that act as an essential key factor for a good design. By the end of first year student will have a clear picture about the interior design profession and will be able to prepare themselves for an advanced level.
2nd year: In this year students will be exposed to the core space designing subjects. Students will learn the technical, functional and aesthetics point of view. In second year students will be able to produce computer aided spatial designed drawings which will be supplemented with specific technical drawings. By the end of second year student will be in a position to propose computer aided design for a space considering client’s requirements.
3rd year: In the final year ethical, moral and economical dimensions are introduced which as a designer one should be aware of. We focus on developing our students with good communication and presentation skills. By the end of third year students will be qualified as trained interior designers with ideal knowledge about spatial planning.
